Fucked Windows Update ????
A friend has just rang me saying he can't get in to windows,
He had an update last night (Well he thinks he did), he shut his machine down and come to turn it on before and it just keeps re setting it's self every time it should display the login screen, even with Safe mode. His O/S is XP Pro, now I know he fell for the update fuck up a few months ago and I sorted that but does anyone know of another Update fuck up by Microsoft ? I have checked several Win XP forums and there are a few posts posted from yesterday (10/07/2010) (DD/MM/YYYY) With the same issue but no solution yet. Some help on this would be great. Major Thanks In Advance.

No i think this is the same fuck up as a few months ago!!!
You need him to restore his pc to a few months back and take it from there,the whole restart thing rings a bell, think i had to deal with this in April!!

yeah, I had to deal with it in April too,
Update, go a call from my mates son, he remembers mcafee saying there was a problem with a file in windows/system32, the only option was to remove the file but it couldn't do that ether, fuckin hat mcafee. Going down tonight to try and sort it.
